Knurled screws DIN 464 are machined from solid bar. Unlike in the official standard sheet, they are generally made with thread right up to the head and without recess groove at the end of the thread. The official standard sheet also provides for the sizes M1 / M1,2 / M1,6 / M2 and M2,5.

Alle kartelschroeven DIN 464 zijn uit één stuk vervaardigd. In tegenstelling tot de officiële norm zijn ze over het algemeen voorzien van schroefdraad tot aan de kop en zonder inkeping aan het uiteinde van de schroefdraad. De officiële norm voorziet nog in de maten M1 M1,2 M1,6 M2 en M2,5.
